Hello again from all of us at Tacugama and apologies for the lack of posts from us recently. We’ve been really busy since the fundraising event in London following up on the new contacts and friends that we have made.
Basma - our “accidental” chimp – has just celebrated her first birthday and we thought that you’d enjoy seeing this selection of photographs of how well she’s growing and how much she’s an important part of the family group.
Babes has done a great job of mothering Basma
.
Basma watches mum very carefully…..
.
….especially when food is concerned!
.
Basma’s sister Bintu and Uncle Ole share some secrets
.
…but Basma’s not sure that Uncle Ole will make a good clown…!

Grooming is an important way for chimps to form strong bonds and big sister Bintu makes sure that Basma sits down for a session….
Basma enjoys this so much she’s keen to get more of the action…!

She loves being the centre of attention

Happy 1st Birthday Basma – wishing you many more…..
Thanks to all of you for staying in touch with us and we’re back on board with blogging so watch this space for more news and photographs!
