We are very sorry not to have been in touch recently, we are at a very busy time of year again! Bala has just returned from the IPPL Conference, Frankie is now in the PASA meeting in Cameroon and the sanctuary is busy as usual!
Here is a collection of photographs from the past year, some characters you will recognise and others will be new faces! With 100 chimps at Tacugama, not all of them are known to you. Have a look at the pictures to meet some more of our residents.

Great pics! Hey, I have a question…I adopted a chimp a few months ago, but have not heard anything…is it just a general donation, or am I taking care of a specific little guy or gal?
Thank you for sharing the pictures. They all look so happy and healthy. How is little Sarah doing? Is she with any of the other babies yet? Thank you again and again for all the loving care you give these precious chimps.
Hi Christine,
Thanks very much for adopting a chimp. Did you choose which chimp you wanted to adopt? You can choose 1 of 8 chimps and read their story at http://www.tacugama.com/howtoadopt.html There is a link on that page for each chimp to send your details to us, to receive the certificate and biographies.
Thanks again,
Tacugama
What a beautiful series of photos. Thank you so much – they all look so relaxed and happy. Well done all of you.
Bala, no, I didn’t choose a chimp, I did it through this blog site, not the Tacugama site…Ok, so if I go there, i can pick someone and then let you all know?
All you need to do is pick your chimp from http://www.tacugama.com/howtoadopt.html
and on the right hand side of each chimp it says “Adopt (chimp name) click here to send your details”. Click on this link to send you name and address, and if you are buying as a gift the name of the person. If the link doesn’t work, send your details to info@tacugama.com (including the name of which chimp you are adopting).
Thanks again for your support.
Hi Theresa,
Sarah is doing very well and of course Mama Posseh is doing a great job looking after her! Sarah is still isolated from the chimps as she is in her quarantine period, but spends a lot of time with Mama Posseh so she is not lonely!
